Registered Manager for Children’s Home – Wolverhampton
Are you a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? We have an exciting opportunity to lead a 10-bed children’s home in Wolverhampton, supporting children with high-complexity learning disabilities.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children with learning disabilities. The home is currently on a journey of change, so we're looking for a capable and inspirational leader who can turn things around and ensure outstanding care and positive outcomes are delivered for the young people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Drive change and lead a dedicated team to implement high standards of care, fostering a culture of compassion, safety, and empowerment.
* Compliance & Improvement: Develop and implement action plans to meet Ofsted regulations, ensuring the home provides a positive, compliant environment.
* Child-Centered Approach: Promote a tailored approach to support each child’s individual needs, empowering them to reach their full potential.
* Staff Development: Mentor, support, and supervise staff to enhance skills, encourage best practices, and build a cohesive, motivated team.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with families, social services, and other stakeholders to ensure the children’s well-being is at the centre of all decisions.
Essential Requirements:
* Experienced Manager: Proven experience managing children’s homes, with a focus on supporting children with learning disabilities.
* Turnaround Skills: Strong background in leading improvements in settings needing transformation, with a clear track record of achieving successful outcomes.
* Knowledgeable: Thorough understanding of Ofsted standards and regulations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
* Passionate Leader: Inspirational and resilient, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to achieving excellence in care.
