Webwatch: Children’s Homes Quality Standards site

Action for Children in partnership with the Who Cares? Trust has launched a new website to provide children’s homes in England with access to support and information to help them embed the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 which includes the new Quality Standards.

This new regulatory framework is ultimately designed to ensure children living in homes receive the best possible care, have the best possible experience and the best possible outcomes.

The website is a central hub that contains news, resources and information and encourages homes to showcase the good work that already exists in the sector.

Valerie Tulloch, Project Manager said: “We are currently in the middle of delivering workshops across England to approximately 1000 Children’s Homes Managers.

“This website will enable us to make contact with many more people working in this sector who we can share learning with and also promote positive examples of the benefit of high quality children’s homes on the lives of young people”.

The project is funded by the Department for Education.
