Resource: SSSC online learning modules on administering medication
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) has launched a suite of new online learning modules on the safe administration of medication.
The modules provide learners with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in the following aspects of the safe administration of medication:
- principles and good practice
- understanding medication
- practical considerations.
The resource has been designed to be used along with the learner’s organisational policies and procedures and to help learners relate the information to their own work setting. The modules also have videos that demonstrate good practice and there are activities that encourage the learner to reflect upon their current knowledge and practice.
Each module can be completed on its own and in any order. They can also be used for reference, particularly when used in conjunction with the SSSC’s Safe Med smartphone app.
