This Local Authority Circular sets out the resources available for the year 2008-2009 for the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and provisional figures for 2009-2010 and 2010 – 2011. Action: NHS Chief Executives and social care directors will need to take note of these resources and ensure they are used both to support the Act’s wider successful implementation and to deliver their own organisation’s statutory responsibilities.
