Skills for Care showcase their top 10 resources as part of Adult Learners Week

All those involved in managing the social care workforce will know that the continuing development of the sector’s workers is just as important as their induction, initial training and qualifications.

This Adult Learners Week, Skills for Care is showcasing their top 10 resources to support social care employers in the learning and development of their workforce. From formal qualifications, to eLearning modules and training for individual employers; there is something for everyone.

  1. Guide to qualifications and standards in adult social care
    Whether your staff are new to the sector or want to develop their knowledge in a particular area, this guide details all the current adult social care qualifications recommended by Skills for Care.
  2. Core Skills practical guide
    To ensure your staff have the crucial functional and employability skills to fulfil their role; this practical guide will support employers to embed Core Skills, such as English, maths and digital literacy, in their workplace.

    If you have staff who are passionate about their role, you could sign up to become part of the I Care… Ambassador service. In doing so, they will have the opportunity to attend events, seminars and workshops to promote careers in social care.
