Skills academy publish details of Autumn management programmes

The National Skills Academy for Social Care are currently recruiting for new Taster Sessions and the Open Access programme for Lead to Succeed, the first national training programme for care service managers.

The programme has been designed to develop the leadership and managerial behaviours of Operational Leaders working in any part of adult social care.

It is comprised of a series of workshops, each of which helps develop a more strategic approach to the day-to-day management of the people and processes that drive the sector, and so improve the quality of care experienced by service users.

The Mentoring Scheme has been developed to support Registered Managers working in both residential and domiciliary care. Mentoring is a cost-effective way of sharing knowledge and experience, supporting an individual’s personal and career development and providing a safe, supportive and neutral space for an individual to take stock and reflect upon their work.

The scheme follows current best practice and provides a high-quality, high-value confidential learning and development opportunity for both mentors and mentees.
