Seven men and a woman have been charged in connection with alleged child abuse in and around the New Milton area in the 1970s and 1980s.

A 65-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with 17 offences following a child sex abuse investigation.

• Residents being fed in an unduly “restrictive” way

• Residents not being taken to the toilet and then wetting themselves

• Doctors not being called to the home despite repeated requests from residents

A dossier of the alleged incidents, which are said to have happened over the past 18 months, is being compiled and Merseyside police will be informed.
