The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) has responded to a Justice Committee report out today that states ‘probation staff now spend 75% of their time on form filling and responding to centrally driven emails’, by revealing that 95% of social workers spend too much time on paperwork and not enough time supporting people that rely on social work services.

Independent Age and Counsel and Care, which both provide support and advice to older people, have announced they will merge with immediate effect.
