CSSIW warn about domiciliary care cold-caller in Merthyr
The Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) have issued a warning about a man in the Merthyr area who they say is impersonating a member of Welsh Government or CSSIW.
The individual involved has been cold-calling at people’s homes to attempt to discuss domiciliary care with members of the public.
The Inspectorate are advising that their staff and inspectors do not cold-call and we urge members of the public not to invite these people into your home or share personal information with them.
Anyone who is door-stepped or receives a suspicious visit from a cold-caller is urged to call Trading Standards (via Citizens Advice Bureau) on 08454 040506.
Also, you can report anyone who you think is suspicious to the police by calling 101.
You can also contact the CSSIW directly by calling 0300 790 0126 or e-mailing: [email protected].
