Cardigan Officials Meeting With Young Agencies

A special meeting of all the agencies that deal with youth issues may be held in Cardigan in a bid to resolve current problems of anti-social behaviour in the town.

Local councillors have decided that those involved could include representatives from the police, the county youth service, the anti-social behaviour officer, youth offending team and local schools.

“We need to get people together so we can talk about everything and thrash out all the issues,” said mayor, Cllr Wynne Evans.

“We need to meet with the different agencies to talk about everything and try to resolve these issues in the town.”

Cllr Evans said he would first seek a meeting with the Ceredigion youth officer. “I want to meet with him first to get his views and then we will work out a bigger meeting with all the different organisations,” he told the Tivy-Side.
