Improvement notice served on Ayrshire care service

Scotland’s social care regulator has served a formal improvement notice on an Ayrshire-based care at home service.

The Care Inspectorate has informed the service, HRM Homecare Services Ltd, of six aspects of its service which require immediate improvement.

HRM Homecare Services Ltd is registered to provide an integrated housing support and care at home service. The services are provided to service users across Ayrshire

The areas of the service which require improvement include the scheduling and monitoring of visit times; ensuring service users are provided with care and support which meets their needs; staffing arrangements; recruitment; management; and notifications to Care Inspectorate.

A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: “We have informed the service of the areas which require immediate improvement in order to meet the standards we expect.

“We will be monitoring this service closely and if we do not see evidence of significant progress we will not hesitate to take further action.”
