NHS approves children’s health scheme in North-East

A project to give kids the best health start in life has been launched in the North-east.

NHS Grampian’s board approved the Child Health 2020 strategy and an outline action plan.

It is designed to make sure children from all areas of the North-east have the same chance of a healthy start to life.

The strategy promotes health education, early intervention where problems might arise, and better integration of health and social services.

The aspiration is that “by 2020, all children and young people of Grampian will have the healthiest possible start in life”.
