Ewan McGregor backs hospice appeal

Actor Ewan McGregor has backed a Christmas appeal by the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) by leaving a personal message of support for the charity.

Members of the public are being asked to donate to the charity and write a snowflake message to be displayed at its hospices in Rachel House, Kinross, and Robin House, Balloch over the festive period.

McGregor, a long-term supporter of the charity, was first to leave his message, which reads: “Merry Christmas to you all X. All my love Ewan McGregor x”.

The “share a thought, share a snowflake” appeal launches today on the charity’s website www.chas.org.uk

Roslyn Neely, director of fundraising and communications, said: “We hope everyone will be inspired to join Ewan and share a personal message this Christmas.

“We receive fantastic support from the Scottish public and at this time of year we hope people will remember us on their Christmas list as we look to make this a memorable one for families across Scotland.”
