Dementia musical to show impact of alzheimers in stage show
A musical focusing on dementia and alzheimers is to be brought to the stage in a one-woman show.
Lossiemouth singer-songwriter Tish Tindall is putting together the final touches for Remember Love, the inspiration for which came from her own personal experiences.
The idea of the production came about when her partner Diane Aspinall’s mother, Susan Parker, was diagnosed with the early onset Alzheimer’s several years ago.
Deterioration
Since then, the couple have not only experienced first-hand just what an impact the disease has had on Susan, but also all those around her.
Tish and Diane, business partners in the Lossiemouth-based Rock Academy School for the performing arts, have both been profoundly affected by the rapid deterioration in Diane’s mother.
Tish said: “My idea was to do try to do whatever I could to raise the profile of this dreadful condition in a positive way and I hope that my show has done just that.”
She is currently in the final stages of talks to premiere the musical in London in January before touring the UK.
