IRISS to host service development and innovation seminars

The Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS) is organising a series of one-day seminars on ‘Embracing Change: strategies for managing innovation projects and identifying future opportunities’.

The session is for individuals who have overall responsibility for service development and innovation, or individuals who develop services and deliver innovation projects. It will provide greater confidence to organisations on how to manage innovation and will include:

    * An introduction to strategies to manage the risk of innovation
    * Case studies from other organisations
    * Tools for identifying risks and opportunities for service development.

The workshop is interactive and will introduce participants to a range of strategies, tools and case studies.

Seminar dates and locations:

Kilmarnock: Thursday 9 September
Aberdeen: Tuesday 21 September
Inverness: Thursday 23 September
Dundee: Thursday 30 September
Glasgow: Thursday 2 December
Edinburgh: Thursday 9 December

Limited places are available for each seminar and it is anticipated that demand will be high. Places will be allocated as bookings are made so early application is advised. The session is offered under the core programme of IRISS and, therefore, there is no charge for participants provided they are part of the Scottish health and social care sector.
