Highland Council fostering services praised

The quality of fostering and adoption services at Highland Council have been rated as “excellent” by the Care Commission.

The report followed an inspection that took place last August and September.

Highland Council said the commission had made no recommendations, or requirements for it to meet.

Services for vulnerable children in the Highlands were praised by the HM Inspectorate of Education in a report released earlier this month.

Five of the six areas evaluated by the inspectorate were rated as “very good” and the remaining one as “good”.
