Junction project launched to prevent anti-social behaviour
The Scottish Government is investing £1.6 million of crooks’ cash in a new project that aims to prevent young people on the brink of anti-social behaviour or criminal activity from offending.
The Junction project will be delivered with four partners – Fairbridge in Scotland, The Venture Trust, The Prince’s Trust Scotland and Venture Scotland – who are joining forces to create a ‘one-stop development shop’ which will utilise the extensive experience the four have in working with young people and supporting them in making positive life choices.
The Junction will tackle young people aged between 14-17 on the cusp of offending by getting them to face up to their actions through high quality personal and social development opportunities and turn them away from a potential life of crime.
