Holistic Health Boost For Low Earners
Mulberry House, Edinburgh’s largest complementary health centre, has announced the launch of its Low Income Clinics initiative. Registered as a Scottish Charity in October 2004, The Mulberry House Health Foundation forms the charity wing of Mulberry House.
One of the aims of the Foundation is to offer complementary health treatments that historically have come at a price often beyond the means of many needing such health care. The Low Income Clinics have been designed to address this problem.
Anyone who is unemployed, on income support or is a full time student can now have access to a comprehensive range of complementary health therapies at significantly reduced rates.
Patrick Harding, one of the directors of Mulberry House, explains; ‘We’re excited to announce the launch of these Low Income Clinics as they are a very tangible approach towards our goal of offering holistic health care for all. With the help of the Health Foundation, therapists at Mulberry House are now able to provide significantly reduced rate clinics and treatments.’
Mulberry House, based in the West End of Edinburgh on Manor Place, offers a comprehensive range of complementary health therapies and classes. The clinic, known as ‘the little oasis in the heart of the city’, was established in 1999 and brings together an experienced team of therapists, teachers and doctors specialising in personalised, holistic health care.
