NISCC issues call to social care managers as Forum visits Omagh

The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) have issued a call for social care managers to participate in a forthcoming Forum to be held in Omagh.

The Forum, taking place at Silverbirch Hotel on Thursday 20 October 2016, is an opportunity for social care managers to hear about the latest developments around registration, safeguarding and fitness to practice.

A priority area of work for NISCC is to support training and development opportunities for managers and the development of the Forum is an ideal platform to get involved.

The morning event will include updates from:

  • NISCC on key areas such as registration and the introduction of Fitness to Practise
  • RQIA on quality improvement
  • Safeguarding – issues for managers
  • There will also be an opportunity to discuss how you would like the forum to go forward

The event is free to attend and there are a limited number of spaces which will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
