NI social workers urged to contribute to workload pressures survey

The Northern Ireland Association of Social Workers (NIASW) have launched a new survey aimed at gathering information on workload pressures.

This has come about as direct result of Association members raising concerns about the volume of work they are dealing with on a daily basis. The survey is our way of establishing the facts, prevalence and scale of the problem.

The survey was launched on World Social Work Day and as part of the Stand Up for Social Work Campaign, and the hope is this will be another means to highlight some of the challenges that social workers and service users face.

NIASW are now urging the workerforce to complete the short survey (5 minutes approximately) and share the link with your work colleagues in order to generate as comprehensive a response as possible.

If you hold a social work post in any sector or programme of care across Northern Ireland, you are encouraged to participate. The survey is totally anonymous and no individual or organisation who responds will be identified.

The survey will close on the 13th of April.
