Seminar series to highlight benefits of mobile working in social care

Tech firm, TotalMobile, is launching a series of social care seminars in March, looking at how advances in mobile technology can benefit social care workers and service users.

The first of the road shows will take place on 12 March 12 in the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Mercer St. London, followed on the 19th in Manchester’s Portland of Thistle Hotel and finally 26 March in Edinburgh at The Point Hotel.

As services are experiencing an increase in demand along with tightening budgets, the seminars will feature presentations from industry experts and provide social care professionals the opportunity to speak with organisations that have implemented successful mobile working strategies.

“Local Authorities across the UK are facing challenging times, with budgets are due to be cut by £2.1 billion in 2015 but with the demand for council services still rising,” said Colin Reid, Chief Executive, TotalMobile.

“For Local Authorities to be able to do this while maintaining service levels will require a radical rethink of working practices and mobile working can help improve services while reducing costs. We have some fantastic guest speakers lined up for the road shows and look forward to meeting delegates in all three cities.”

The seminars so they are free to attend and guest speakers are as follows:

• London – Sarah Royles, ?Commissioning & Design Consultant from Nottinghamshire Council
• Manchester – Amanda Hatton, Principal Associate Consultant with Core Assets
• Edinburgh – Jill Pritchard and Linda Roberston from Fife County Council
