The Fremantle Trust launches debut in-house apprenticeship scheme

Care provider and charity The Fremantle Trust have announced a Buckinghamshire drive to attract more younger people into a career in social care, with an apprenticeship scheme becoming active at its branches in Aylesbury, Wing, Beaconsfield and Princes Risborough.

Young talent will be given the chance to gain valuable care sector experience, with the Trust looking to find 10 apprentices aged between 16 and 18 who will benefit from the charity’s years of experience through weekly training sessions.

The provider’s approach will be to combine personal development with a practical style of learning, enabling individuals to develop skills ideal for a long-term career in the sector, including a Health and Social Care Level 2 Diploma and a Preparing to work in Adult Social Care Level 2 Certificate.

Director of operations Sue Green comments: “We are excited to be able to create 10 valuable employment opportunities through our new apprenticeship scheme, especially from a personal point of view as I began my career in care with a work experience scheme.

“We’re keen to extend our commitment to first class care to our apprentices and provide them with an excellent start in their careers.”

A not-for-profit business, The Fremantle Trust are currently registered as operating thirty care facilities, located in the counties of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with several in London.
