Ex-care home manager acquitted of neglect charges

Miss Chan Teeluck of Stone, Dartford and ex-Manager of care home, Shakti Lodge, Dartford was today acquitted of four counts of neglect. 

A decision to offer no evidence was taken by the CPS at Maidstone Crown Court and the case dropped due to insufficient evidence supporting a conviction.

A spokesperson for Miss Teeluck’s family said, “We are delighted at Chan’s acquittal. She should never have been accused of neglect in the first place. Chan has devoted her entire working life to helping the elderly and she has been to hell and back in the last 18 months that it has taken for her case to be reviewed. We would like to thank all of those people who supported her and demonstrated their belief in Chan’s innocence. Chan is now pursuing a civil case against Shakti Lodge for unfair dismissal.”
