Abusive Blackpool Care Worker Jailed For 5 Years
A team manager at a care home at Thornton Cleveleys, convicted of sexually abusing a young man, has been jailed for five years.
A judge told Raymond McIntosh it was an immensely serious breach of trust.
A Preston Crown Court trial heard that an investigation was launched after the victim, who was in his 20s, was found with love bites.
McIntosh, 53, of Eaves Street, Blackpool, was convicted of three charges of sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder.
Defence barrister Mark George said that for most of the last 30 years, McIntosh had been in the care profession and that work would never be open to him again.
Judge Andrew Gilbart QC said McIntosh had been convicted on absolutely overwhelming evidence and would never work with vulnerable people again.
