GSCC Chair Is Knighted

Rodney Brooke, Chair of the General Social Care Council, was knighted in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for his contribution to public services. Sir Rodney said:

“I believe this honour to be a tribute to all those who work in the public sector and especially the unsung heroines and heroes who work in social care. I also regard it as a tribute to the work the General Social Care Council has done to protect the public and enhance the recognition of those who work in social care.”

Lynne Berry, Chief Executive, GSCC said: “I am delighted that Rodney’s achievements have received such outstanding and deserved recognition. He has spent much of his career campaigning tirelessly on social care issues, on both the national and international stage.  The GSCC finds itself in such good health thanks to his expertise and leadership.”
