Four Stars For Norfolk County Council

Norfolk County Council has been awarded four stars – the top ranking – in its annual assessment by the independent Audit Commission. The authority achieved four stars overall for the services it provides and is judged to be “improving well.”

The council has gained an extra star since its last inspection.

The commission said services were improving at a faster rate, with significant progress in children’s services and adult social care.

“The numbers of looked-after children fell, and those remaining got more qualifications, experienced fewer changes in placement, and were more likely to be adopted. Fostering services provide excellent outcomes.”
