Former social worker in £8,800 goods scam

A FORMER senior social worker has admitted defrauding a council of more than £8,000.

Ex-council employee Jennifer Stephen, 47, whose address was given in court papers as 3 McGregor Crescent, Peterhead, admitted ordering goods for family clients to the value of £8,885.78. The offences took place over a three-year period in Aberdeenshire Council’s social work offices on Windmill Street, Peterhead, and Stephen admitted the charges when she appeared at the town’s sheriff court.
