iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting Supported Pathway Officer to work for our client based in Southwark and surrounding areas.
The successful post holder will ssist residents in securing their next stage housing, providing resettlement support so that they successfully move into and sustain their new home.
The successful post holder will understand the impact of Adverse Child Experiences and the principles of Trauma Informed Care and to provide a holistic key working approach which aims to help residents to recognise preventative action that they can take to break the cycle of homelessness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* To provide assertive client centred key-working, risk assessment and support planning to a caseload of approximately 10 clients aimed at supporting them to maintain their current accommodation and link into services and meaningful activities which help them to improve their physical and mental wellbeing well-being and life skills
* Provide a high quality customer focussed service, with clients being treated with courtesy and respect and meet all council standards and targets relating to communication with residents.
* Assist and motivate residents to reach set goals and progress along an identified clear pathway for housing. Provide client centred support plans and intensive assertive key-working support using reflective practice techniques
* Coordinate any necessary support services to assess residents ability to live independently and identify which services could assist them to sustain their wellbeing and tenancy and provide a time limited floating support service to ensure residents are linked into appropriate services after moving out
* Encourage residents to engage and participate in activities which address issues of social isolation and confidence building and to accompany them where necessary and appropriate
* Advocate for residents where required, providing practical support if needed to ensure that their rooms are habitable and safe and where necessary to accompany residents to appointments. e.g. Health Services, DWP, viewings.
* Arrange bookings for new residents, coordinating, interviewing and assessing risk and carry out Risk Management and SOVA assessments for all new residents
* Encourage resident participation in hostel matters, investigating and responding to any suggestions and complaints and in running house meetings
* Deal proactively with behavioural issues within the hostel, managing risk safely and appropriately and where necessary represent the council in court in conjunction with specialist agencies and coordinate and carry out evictions relating to anti-social behaviour and other breaches of licence
Working hours: The shift pattern is Mon-Fri 8am-4pm or 12-8pm- You will either be doing an early shift for the week which is 8-4pm or lates 12-8pm- We do not operate flexible working.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a hostel
* Experience working with adults who have alcohol addictions.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service

Experience of recovery focused and harm minimisation service provision for clients with multiple and complex needs
*
Knowledge of the impact of Adverse Child Experiences and the principles of Trauma Informed Care when dealing with homeless people who have complex needs
