Hays Social Care are working with an outstanding supported living provider where adults with learning disabilities live together in a supportive and productive community environment, enabling individuals with additional needs to fulfil their potential for independence.
The role is based in Stroud and is a full time, permanent contract. Our client is offering the successful candidate a competitive salary, plus pension & excellent benefits.
Established in the 1980’s, our client offers supported tenancies and personal care provision with individual programmes of in which vulnerable people with learning disabilities live, learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect.
You will work as a part of a team supporting residents with a variety of needs, enabling where necessary their daily routine, ranging from household and lifestyle well-being to social, cultural and workshop related activities.
Our client offers a variety of thriving onsite activities that include bakery, craft, and garden workshops, building individual skills such as working with flour, knitting, textile, felting, candle, and paper crafts.
You will be helping people with disabilities to live fulfilled and independent live – including integration into the local community – activities such as attending college or visiting the local leisure centre, attending pottery, woodwork, swimming, and other sporting activities and volunteering with other local organisations.
You Will Need: – A minimum of six months experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs – a Professional Attitude – be Passionate about Care – You must be organised, a good communicator and self-motivated. – Drivers are essential due to the location of the service.
