We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers for ongoing work across Tyne and Wear (NE32). We are recruiting staff on a temporary to permanent basis where you will be on a probation period for 12 weeks before you move across permanently.
Brief Role :-
To provide individualised person-centred support to service users with mental health issues, learning disabilities and personality disorder. To enable service users to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, to participate in the community and to develop their abilities as fully as possible.
We require :-
* Minimum 6 months experience in care within UK with mental health issues, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, complex needs, sensory and personality disorder
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK (We do not offer sponsorship)
* Ability to provide 2 references covering last 4 years work history (one from current or most recent employer)
* Enhanced DBS that is on the update service (Desirable)
* Clean, valid driving licence and access to a car (Desirable)
* PBS Trained
* Ability to work safely and responsibly without direct supervision in service user’s own homes
* Ability to support service users with their physical health needs, this may include pushing wheelchairs and using hoists of which a degree of physical fitness will be required
* Possession of NVQ or other relevant social care qualification (Desirable)
Hours :-
Full time 37.5 hours or part time minimum 15 hours per week. To be worked flexibly on a rota which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the needs of the service.
Salary :-
Weekday: £14.50 per hour
Night/Weekend: £14.75 per hour
