Support Worker
Positive Steps
Salary: £25,322 – £27,727 per year
Hours: 36 per week
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Positive Steps Support service in the role of Support Worker . Positive Steps is a short-term Mental health visiting support service registered with the Care Inspectorate. The service is open 365 days a year with Staff working on a rolling rota shift pattern. There will be an additional working Time Payment to reflect shift working.
The post holder will be required to participate in the delivery of a responsive and needs led service. Promote effective multi-disciplinary working with other disciplines aimed at providing a good level of support to service users.
City of Edinburgh Council are currently going through a service review. It must therefore be noted to potential candidates that structures and posts may be subject to change.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
