We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Social Care Workers to join our teams across Dundee where you will work on a casual basis.

You will have an SVQ2 or ability to undertake training to achieve this award within a specified timeframe.
You will assist in maintaining service users in their own homes in the community by attending to their assessed personal and social needs. You will assist service users and carers in improving the quality of their life.
You will have past or present caring experience to a high standard in life or work and be able to understand and meet the needs of people living in the community. You will have good written/oral communication skills with the ability to work as a team or alone and to use own initiative.
You will have sensitivity and understanding in dealing with vulnerable people, and non-judgemental with a caring, pleasant and professional approach, and dependable and reliable attitude to work.
Flexibility is essential as you must be able to work a range of shifts, including a split shift, evenings, weekends and occasional nights.
You will be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and have the ability to be registered within specified timescales.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
