£30,562 – £31,220 pro rata / £15.84 – £16.18 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by senior staff in an effective and efficient manner ensuring at all times the social and domestic care needs of service users.
You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and well being; including assisting with personal care in keeping with the standards of care required by the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCWIS).
Relevant experience in a similar post would be an advantage.
You should hold an SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care, or other relevant qualification, to enable registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service for Adults, or achieve this within 5 years of appointment.
You must also register with SSSC within 6 months of appointment.
The post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
