As a Sheltered Housing Officer with Aberdeenshire Council you will provide support and assistance to people to maintain their tenancy and live independently in their own accommodation, within a Sheltered Housing Scheme and as part of their local community.
There are Sheltered Housing Schemes located in various communities in and around Aberdeenshire, we are looking for keen individuals with a flexible approach to be part of the Sheltered Housing team in Alford, Strathdon, Aboyne and Ballater. The post holder is required to work from various locations within a defined geographical area and travel to the various scheme/s.
There are no set days however, a rota is provided in advance. Shift pattern is 2 days per week 8:45AM to 5:00PM and alternate weekends 9:00AM to 1:00PM.
The successful candidate must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across Aberdeenshire. There are training opportunities that will be provided for the successful candidate.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 6 months of employment.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
This is a fixed term post for a period not exceeding 31/03/2025
