Senior Residential Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Newton-Le-Willows. In this pivotal role, you will not only be responsible for the well-being of our children and young people but also serve as a mentor and role model for new team members, offering them the support and guidance they need to thrive in their positions.
The home is in a beautiful part of Newton, it is a four bedroomed property and will cater for two young people and children within an EBD setting. We have a great RM who has proved himself to be very successful within the children's care sector who is very excited and enthusiastic to start with a great team behind him.
Your primary responsibilities as a Senior Residential Support Worker will include:
* Providing emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships with the children and young people in our care.
* You will play a crucial role in establishing clear boundaries and routines, creating a nurturing environment that they can genuinely consider their home.
Empowering our children and young people to build confidence and self-esteem is fundamental to this role. Your influence will be instrumental in helping them realise their potential and fostering a positive outlook.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will take an active interest in each child and young person’s individual needs and aspirations. Whether their passions lie in sports, cooking, music, or any other area, you will encourage and facilitate their development, helping them to discover and pursue their interests.
You will need:
* An understanding of Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Knowledge of Ofsted procedures and legislation.
* Ability to lead a team on shift.
This is a role that requires a strong character and resolve, the role is a demanding and challenging post.
You will require:
* NVQ Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
* Able to work shift patterns and sleep ins.
* Two years’ experience working in a Children and Young Person’s setting.
* Experience of leading a shift.
* Full UK driving licence.
