About the role:
Liquid Personnel have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential Support Worker or currently working as Senior Residential Care practitioner. You will be joining an incredible Children's Residential Provider, Ofsted rated good. Their main purpose is to work together with young people to achieve positive outcomes with a restorative approach by showing empathy and understanding, conflict resolution, collaboration, empowerment and positive role modelling. You will be joining a brand-new home for young people, registered for up to 4 young people from 13-17 years old with a background of emotional behaviour difficulties, child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation.
Your key responsibilities as the Senior Residential Support Worker:
To operate as a shift leader as part of a rota.
Working together with social workers, residential staff, and other practitioners to implement practical and emotional support, promoting a strong culture of collaboration built through joint working and a shared vision in supporting the child.
Meet the needs of children and young people, using a restorative approach, developing strong relationships to support children make their own decisions and actively engage.
Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with other services, the community, and agencies to deliver a holistic service to children with complex needs.
Delivery of specialist interventions and programmes.
Contribute to smooth management of the team and service. This might include responsibility for rota's, co-ordinating services and assisting the Registered/Deputy Manager in the management of the home in all aspects appropriate to the Statement of purpose of the Home.
To work as part of a multi-agency team, assisting in formulating Assessments, Placement Plans, Care Plans and Pathway Plans (where applicable) for each child or young person and formulate clear aims and objectives as necessary.
To act as a key worker to a child and be a positive role model for children and other staff in a range of contexts
Organising, providing, and participating in stimulating activities for young people during their leisure time, which may also include holiday breaks with the children and young people away from the Children's Home (usually between four to fourteen days)Essential Requirement:
Hold a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare
Good knowledge around Children's Homes regulations (2015), Children's Homes Regulations including the quality standards
Hold at least 3 years' experience within a children's residential homes
Hold a Full UK driving licence Benefits:
