As a Senior Housing Options Worker you will have daily operational management for a busy frontline integrated Community Homeless Service.
You will lead a team of Social Care Workers to deliver an efficient and high quality Homelessness service, ensuring the Council’s statutory duties towards homeless service users in relation to accommodation, advice and assistance are met. You will work in collaboration with partners across Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership, Registered Social Landlords, Private and Third sector agencies to develop pathways and protocols to improve outcomes for homeless households. You will also play a lead role in taking forward the Councils Rapid Rehousing priorities as set out by the Scottish Government.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, willing to learn within a changing environment, with strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate an excellent approach to effective partnership working and customer service.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
