Our client is seeking to recruit and experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to join their team and new 2 to 3 bed residential children's home in Maghull, Liverpool on a permanent and full time basis.
The Role:
As a Registered Manager, your role will involve overall responsibility and management of the children's home and will be accountable for the delivery of high quality service bringing passion and care in to the home environment.
You will lead and manage a team of staff ensuring that the right professional advice is given to ensure high standards and quality of care is provided.
You will prioritise, and monitor the work of the team, identify areas for improvement and development of individuals and the team and ensure that these are addressed through team and personal development plans and access to appropriate continuing professional development opportunities.
You will be expected to respond to and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits, complaints and investigations.
You will oversee the recruitment, induction and development of staff, take responsibility for your own professional development and partake in supervisions, appraisals and training events.
Experience:
You must hold a minimum of 3 years' experience working within the children's residential sector within the last 5 years
You will hold a minimum of 1 years' experience in a senior and/or leadership role within a similar environment.
You must have relevant experience working within a successful Ofsted registered children's home.
Working with children, young people and their families.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, solution focused and supportive.
Be able to manage stress and difficult dynamics and demonstrate emotional resilience.
Ability to monitor the service for quality of care and in line with the requirements of Ofsted inspection.
Ability to develop constructive working relationships with the wider community and multi-agency teams.
Qualifications:
You must hold a Level 3 or 4 NVQ/Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce.
Ideally, you will hold a relevant Level 5 NVQ qualification or be working towards.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
Be available and flexible for on call duties
