Psychologist – Full-Time – £44,000 per annum
Location: Corwen, North Wales
Are you a compassionate and skilled Psychologist looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?
Meridian Business Support is seeking a Psychologist to join our client based in Corwen, North Wales, where you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young males aged 10-18 who face complex interpersonal, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Many of the young people in our care have experienced significant trauma, and your expertise will be key in helping them heal and thrive.
About the Role
As a Psychologist, you will provide high-quality, specialist psychological therapy to individuals, carers, families, and groups. You will work collaboratively across teams to deliver evidence-based interventions, support service development, and contribute to psychologically informed consultation and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychometric and risk assessments, develop formulations, and implement individual and group-based interventions, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Deliver specialist psychological research expertise to enhance service development.
Provide consultation, training, and support to teams to ensure psychologically informed care.
Supervise and mentor Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants, depending on experience.What We’re Looking For:
Clear communicator, well-organised, confident, and capable of managing a complex caseload in a demanding environment.
Experience in supervising others and delivering training to multi-disciplinary staff.
Hold one of the following professional registrations:
HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies)
