We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary Children with Disabilities Team. This small team combines both an assessment and provision of equipment to children with disabilities and their families. Staff are responsible for managing an individual caseload as well as being involved in developing and delivering a range of imaginative resources.
The team consists of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Support staff who work across the Falkirk Council area. Paediatric Occupational Therapists provide Occupational Therapy support to children in both their home and education environments; therefore close liaison and work with a variety of other disciplines is a core part of the job.
This post requires qualification at Occupational Therapy Degree or Diploma level, registration with HPC. and relevant prior experience.
Why you should consider Falkirk as the next step in your Social Work career.
We have a dynamic and forward-thinking workforce, who are committed to make a positive difference for people accessing services and living in our communities. Trauma informed, relationships and strengths based social work sits at the heart of our practice.
We promote a culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work. This supports our mission to be recognised as a learning organisation promoting openness, creativity, and experimentation across the workforce.
We work hard to develop our staff and expose them to a wide range of opportunities. We encourage our workforce to acquire and share knowledge, information, and resources. We nurture innovation, including service co-design that’s shaped by lived experiences and we provide freedom to try new things, to risk failure and to learn from both mistakes, and promising and good practice.
When it comes to taking care of our employees, we are proud to offer:
