Night Social Care Worker
23 hours per week
Temporary up to 31 July 2026
£38,047 – £38,894 / £39,869 – £42,845 pro rata
£19.72 – £20.16 / £20.67 – £22.21 per hour
The above amounts include Shift Allowance and Distant Islands Allowance
Aurrida House provides a wide range of high quality support services for children with additional support needs and their families. This includes part week residential support for school placement, residential and day respite, short breaks, a home based support service, and an emergency provision.
Aurrida House is seeking a caring, diligent person to join our committed team. You will provide social and personal care on a shift rota basis to children and young people with additional support needs. You must be able to evidence a commitment to the care of children and have experience of direct work with children/young people in the field of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who holds a strong sense of professionalism and who is familiar with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.
You should hold an HNC in Social Services AND an SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7 or other relevant qualifications to enable registration with the SSSC as a practitioner in a children’s residential service or achieve these qualifications within 5 years of appointment.
Applicants must be registered with the SSSC either at appointment or within six months.
You will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
