The Mental Health Adult Social Care Assessment Team (MHASCAT) in Newham is a specialised unit within the Adult Social Care Operations Service. Key Responsibilities:

Assessments: Conduct comprehensive social care needs and carers' assessments under the Care Act 2014 in both community and hospital settings.

Crisis Management: Respond promptly to urgent situations, offering immediate intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, social workers, and external agencies, to develop and implement effective care plans.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker with current registration.
