Housing Officer – Recharge Officer

Hours: 36 per week
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and experienced individuals to join Locality Housing Teams as a recharge officer.
Working as part of a Housing Locality Management Team, the post holders will be responsible for assessing locality Emergency Repairs undertaken in mixed tenure blocks affecting Council homes in line with the Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004, interpretating ownership and invoicing costs with owners through the Councils debt recovery process.
The Recharge Officer will be responsible for following the Operational Procedure for emergency works in mixed tenure blocks which will involve working closely with a number of colleagues within the locality including patch Housing Officers, Team Leaders and managers, as well as colleagues in Shared Repairs and Low Rise mixed tenure teams.
Candidates must be able to use their own initiative, be innovative in their approach and be able to use strong communication skills when dealing with both other colleagues, residents and home owners. The successful candidates will have knowledge and an understanding of Housing legislation, repairs and housing management. Training in this role will also be provided.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
