Housing Officer – Options – ABS41465 Full Time

Job Description

Deliver the Housing Options service, exploring options and choices to address an individual’s housing need. This features early intervention activities and incudes advice on all tenure options with a focus on homelessness prevention and including homelessness assistance where required.

Responsible for the management of the Council’s direct provision of temporary accommodation and liaison with other providers or temporary accommodation for homeless persons. Responsible for making and maintaining contact with those housed in temporary accommodation to give appropriate advice and guidance and provide a housing management service to this client base.

This role may require flexible, evening and weekend working, and home visits.

Job Location – Negotiable.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post requires a Disclosure Scotland Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of this check being deemed satisfactory.
