The City of Edinburgh Council has declared a Housing Emergency and wants to ensure everyone has a secure, safe, warm place to call home, with access to services and a culture that supports individuals and communities to thrive.
The Council provides services to all 50 high-rise blocks in the city, ensuring they are clean, safe and well maintained. This is achieved by teams of Concierge staff who cover 24 hours shifts to carry out estate works in and around the multi storey blocks, carry out a range of maintenance and cleaning tasks as well as operating CCTV monitoring equipment and door entry to ensure the safety and the security of the buildings and the areas where our tenants live.
We have exciting and attractive opportunities for proactive and positive individuals to join the Housing Concierge and Estates team located in our high-rise blocks within the city’s four localities.
We are looking for people who can communicate effectively with the public and work with others in maintaining buildings, you need to be flexible and may be required to provide cover at other blocks or move between roles throughout the locality. The role involves daily aspects of physical activity and manual handling.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
