Are you passionate about supporting families and making a difference in children's lives? We are looking for a Families First Advice Line Advisor to join our team at the Families First Line, the single point of access for Early Help services within Children’s Services.
Families First Advice Line Advisor
Location: Barry Community Enterprise Centre (BCEC)
Contract: Temporary – 6 months (likely to be extended)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay:£15.50 per hour (via umbrella)
About the Role
As a Families First Advice Line Advisor, you will:
* Be the first point of contact for families seeking Early Help support.
* Carry out Wellbeing Assessments to identify family strengths and areas where support is needed.
* Work within a preventative framework, ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners to provide advice and referrals where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvements.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children, young people, or families in a support/advisory role.
* Strong communication and assessment skills.
* Knowledge of Early Help services and safeguarding principles.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
