CQC REGISTERED MANAGER – Harrow
We are currently seeking a full-time CQC Registered Manager to head up the new Domiciliary team. The Registered Manager will need to have experience of a startup or knowledge of the process of registering as a new provider and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business delivering high quality effective home care services to clients within budget, working alongside the owner. Based at a New Harrow office and covering the surround areas, the Registered Care Manager will also be responsible for providing strong management and leadership to all staff, ensuring that all staff are fully aware of respective responsibilities and duties and have the full support needed to carry out their duties to provide the best quality home care to all clients always. Work schedule of Monday – Friday – 9am-530pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Ensure safe delivery of all services in line with legislative requirements and company policies and CQC Regulations and procedures
•To undertake training and development to keep updated with the law, best practice and any changes in company policies and to apply this new knowledge to the daily management and delivery of care
•Understanding and monitoring health and safety in the workplace and the field and to act as a lead for infection prevention and control
•Maintenance of full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements
•Implement quality management and improvement systems, effectively managing complaints and incidents and carrying out investigations of complaints regarding the service and implement improvement strategies
•Carrying out a full assessment of each client's needs and associated risks prior to the start of each service, identifying all client needs and overseeing the writing of a tailored care and support plan respecting the client's wishes and promoting their wellbeing, privacy and dignity at all times
•Providing clients and their representatives with information of the service so that their expectations are met and all services understood
•Managing CQC registration and startup of the office alongside the franchise owners as well as recruitment, induction and training of the office team and support staff
•Ensuring that sufficient, suitably qualified staff are appropriately allocated to meet service demands and client needs
•Implementing company policies and procedures regarding absence, disciplinary and grievance matters as well as carrying out appraisals and monitoring of all staff performance
•Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with, such as covering calls directly or securing and allocating staff when carers are absent or ill
•Attending external meetings and representing the service positively while also assisting the franchise owners in the growth and development of the business
Experience and Skills required:
•At least 3 years Registered Manager experience and CQC registration experience
•Professional and compassionate with excellent time management and reliability skills and also the ability to be flexible with work schedule
•Having a UK Drivers licence and own car is ideal
•Excellent understanding and experience of the Care Industry and home care support with an anti-discriminatory personality
•Supportive team player with strong communication skills to be able to build strong client relationships with service users, their families, staff and any other health and social care professionals
•Experience in risk assessments and CQC Inspections for care services and individual care and support and knowledge of confidentiality, health and safety and abuse matters and safeguarding procedures
•Experience, a connective base and knowledge of the local area around Richmond, Putney and Wandsworth
•Ability to provide support for clients daily living with dignity and respect while maintaining privacy
•Experience in staff management – recruiting, training, supporting and supervising
•Previously have maintained clear and accurate records and followed statutory reporting and procedures
•NQV Level 5 Social Care Leadership & Management
A satisfactory DBS check, full UK driving licence and own vehicle with relevant MOT as well as the above necessary qualifications will secure this role. We are flexible on start time and a salary of between £38000 – £45000 is on offer, dependent on experience, plus additional bonuses which will be discussed at interview stage
