An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Therapy Service for a permanent full time Occupational Therapist. This post is 36 hours per week Monday – Friday.
You will play a key role within the Occupational Therapy Team, undertaking assessments to identify the needs of children, adults and older people and implement the desired outcomes to meet need.
The OT service undertakes functional assessments, Independent Mobility Assessments, Property Needs Assessments as well as having our own Duty Intake service. Each Occupational Therapist will be expected to undertake each of these on a rotational basis.
Here at West Lothian we are committed to supporting the development of staff and offer a supportive structure, encouraging and actively supporting CPD sessions within the OT Team with opportunities for training to enhance knowledge and skills within the service.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
