Central Assessment Team Social Worker
North Somerset County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Central Assessment team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Central Assessment Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. The role includes transition of children's casework from the MASH, children in need and children who may be at risk, taking part in strategy meetings, taking action to protect children where necessary. Multi-agency family assessments are carried out in this team which include visiting families, conducting direct work with children and young people, gathering and analysing information to allow us to consider next steps.

Central Assessment Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
Extensive experience of section 47 investigations.
Risk management.
Screening referrals.
Able to work autonomously.
Investigating any concerns of neglect through section 47 investigations.
Clear understanding of the principle and function of a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.
Evidence of ability to use analytical skills to determine positive outcomes for children and young people within tight timescales.
Previous experience of working with partner agencies to gather information essential.
Requirements / Experience preferred:
Post qualifying experience of working as a Central Assessment Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
HCPC Registration
1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
