Care Home Events Coordinator – Activities and Wellbeing – Residential Care Home – Whitby

We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Coordinate who can develop and plan programmes, outings and events, stick to budget and provide a wonderful experience for residents.

Experience as an activities co-ordinator in a similar residential care home will be ideal for this role role, especially experience working with the elderly. A good level of English will be required. If you do have certification as an Activities Professional by a recognised accrediting organisation, e.g. NAPA that would be great! We really need someone warm, friendly and great at enhancing the social and wellbeing experience of elderly residents.

Responsibilities:
* Organise and plan activity programmes reflecting service users’ preferences and keep up to date records using the PCS
* Assist the marketing consultant with the production of newsletters to inform service users and their relatives/friends about what is going on
* Support service users to access the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, Skype and FaceTime
* Plan events within allocated budget
* Ensure service users are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing
* Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
